ekadasi December 2010 dates are December 2 and December 17 and December 31, 2010. The December 2 Ekadasi is known as Utpatti Ekadashi in some regions it is observed on December 1. The December 17 Ekadasi is highly auspicious and it is known as Mokshada Ekadasi and Vaikunta Ekadasi. The day is of great importance in South India especially at Tirupati Balaji Temple and at Srirangam Temple. The December 31, 2010 Ekadasi is known as Safala Ekadasi.
Utpatti Ekadasi is chosen by many for starting one cycle of Ekadasi Fasting.
Vaikunta Ekadasi is of great significance in South India. Vaikunta Dwaram in many important temples in South India opens only on this day. This particular Ekadasi is known as Mukkoti Ekadasi at the Bhadrachalam Temple.
